George was born on June 6th, 1769 in Enniskillen,County Fermangh,Ireland.1 George's father was James Stafford and his mother was Nancy Eaton. His maternal grandparents were JOSEPH EATON and ELIZABETH BOYD BEATTY. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Ralph, James, Thomas, John, Edward, Margaret Ann, Nancy Ann, Jane, Catherine, Susanah and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 71 on December 19th, 1840 in Clark County, Ohio.1 -
