Short 
Short was born on January 18th, 1809.1 Short's father was George Pollard Butler and her mother was Polly F. Butler. Her maternal grandfather was Hurd and her maternal grandmother is Smith. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Young Gresham, Pollard P., Decatur P., George Putnam, Whittington, Webb, Short and Whittington. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 34 on March 6th, 1843.1 General Notes
