1   Lela Rita's father was Larry M. Marchand and her mother was Lela Bridget Acy.  Her paternal grandparents were Theodule B. Marchand and Tercilla Babin. She has four brothers and two sisters, named James Ellis, Acy Anthony, Blanchard Joseph, Larry Michael, Alice Bridget and Annie Laurie.
