Verena was born on July 14th, 1650 in Pfafficon Parish, Balm, Switzerland.1 Verena's father was Hans Heinrich Hirtzel and her mother was Maria Steiner. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Hirzel and Madalena Keller; her maternal grandparents were Steiner and Maria Katrina Frey. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hans Henrich, Clemons and Katharina. She was buried on July 14th, 1650 in Sulzber, Zurich, Switzerland.1 1 General Notes
