Walter Ray Cook 
Walter Ray was born on April 15th, 1907 in Athens, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 Walter Ray's father was William Sherman Cook and his mother was Minerva Ursal Estaline Lambert. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Kenley Lambert and Cynthia Mary Bailey. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Esley Auden, Charles Broadway, Kester, Vida Lola, Vernila Ethel and Mabel. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 94 on December 16th, 2001 in Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 -
