Jesse James was born on October 10th, 1823 in Mississippi.1 Jesse James' father was John Butler and his mother was No. 267 Butler. His maternal grandfather was Hurd and his maternal grandmother is Smith. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Zacariah Pollard, Stephen Heard, John Hicks, William, Jabez William, Marion H., Hicks, Malinda, Amanda, Cynthia Jane, Nancy Catherine, Marinda and Lunda. He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 64 on September 29th, 1888.
