Edgar Houston Bassett

Edgar Houston was born on July 12th, 1917.¹ Edgar Houston's father was Therad Sam Houston Bassett and his mother was Margaret Eleanor Vinson. His paternal grandparents were WILLIAM Parnell Bassett and Vandoosan Jones; his maternal grandparents were John D. Vinson and Mary E. Vise. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William P., Sidney Earl, John Luell, Mary Lee, Juliette and Emma Pearl. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at just 5 days old on July 17th, 1917. He was buried in Crim's Chapel Cemetery, Henderson, Rusk County, Texas.¹¹
