ROSALIE Broyard was born in 1802 in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.1 ROSALIE Broyard's father was ETIENNE BROYARD BARRE and her mother was GENEVIEVE DUGUE. She had a brother and a sister, named Evariste Broyard and Constance. She was the oldest of the three children. She died in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1 General Notes

Orphan- award of Louis Ambroise Lacour and wife Charlotte Lafitte (aunt of Roseline).
At the time of her marriage to Antoine Mayeux, it is noted that she was an orphan daughter of Etienne Broyard Barré & Genevieve Dugué. Charlotte Lafitte LaCour gives her consent to her niece. Recorded in Book A, page 195 of the "Marriage Books of the Avoyelles Parish Court House, Marksville, Louisiana."
In June of 1860 Rosalié was living with her daughter, Scholastic. By August of 1860, the Census shows that she was the widow Hypolite Mayeux and living with her daughter, Antoinette and her husband, Faustin Bordelon.

ROSALIE Broyard and ANTOINE were married in a religious ceremony on December 8th, 1817 in Avoyelles.1 They had a son and six daughters, named Palmire, Emelia, Antoinette, SCHOLASTIQUE, Claire, Hermina and Elmina.

At this marriage Rosalie is shown as being 15 years old and the orphan of Etienne Broyard Barré & Genevieve Dugué, both deceased. Charlotte Lafitte Lacour gives her consent to her niece to marry.
The 1850 Census shows Rosalie as a widow living with Sosthene & Emelie Cou villon. Emelie was Rosalie's oldest daughter. Also with Rosalie was her daughter Elmina Mayeux.
