Walter I was born about 1010 in Longueville, Normandy, France. Walter I's father was Osbern I De Bolbec and his mother was Avelina De Crepon. His maternal grandfather was Herfastus Forester De Arque and his maternal grandmother is Gunhilda Olafsdottir. He had two brothers and a sister, named Gozeline, Osbern II De and Miss De. He was the youngest of the four children. He died in 1084 in France. He was buried in Companion Of William I At Battle Of Hastings.-
