Her paternal grandfather was John De Somery and her paternal grandmother is Hawise De Paynel; her maternal grandparents were John The Marshal Fitzgilbert and Sibilla Sibyl De Salisbury. She had a brother named Roger. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 85 on May 22nd, 1276 in St Augustine's Priory, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.
