Thomas was born in 1532 in Of Brenchley, Kent, England. Thomas' father was Richard WILLARD and his mother was Elizabeth UNKNOWN. His paternal grandfather was William WILLARD and his paternal grandmother is Mrs. Johan UNKNOWN. He had ten brothers and two sisters, named Robert, Simon, George, William, Andrew, Alexander, George, Simon, Andrew, Richard, Agnes and Alice. He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.
