Henry VAN KIRK 
Henry was born in 1700 in Hopewell, Hunterdon, New Jersey, USA.1 Henry's father was Jan Janse Verkerk and his mother was Gertie Alsey. His paternal grandparents were Jan Jansz Verkerck and Marijke Gijsberts. He had three brothers and six sisters, named John, William, Arthur, Mayke, Sytje, Sarah, Alice, Rebecca and Jannetje. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 76 in 1776 in Burlington Co, New Jersey, USA.2 General Notes

Henry Vankirk was a Constable, 14 March 1737.
Raymond Bell reports that Henry VanKirk was in Hopewell, Hunterdon (now Mercer) New Jersey before 1751. He also lists Hopewell as the place of Henry's death.
Susan Mortenson cites the will of Henry VanKirk as her source.
NOTE: The information on this family is from the report titled "Some New Jersey Families' by Raymond Bell. This was published in the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine in 1983, and was sent to me by Susan Mortenson. The information in this report is inconsistent with the partial genealogy of this family that was later found in the Denver Public Library in a publication called "Genealogies of New Jersey Families, Vol I" edited by Joseph R. Klett, pg 969. This calls for further investigation, and I will need to copy all the information on the VanKirk family that can be found in this book, rather than the small excerpt that I have.

John VAN KIRK
John was born in Freehold, Mon., Nj and his baptism took place on November 1st, 1724 in Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey. He died on July 4th, 1770.
