Frederick H. was born on January 24th, 1880 in Kanawha Co., WV. Frederick H.'s father was General George Washington Thaxton and his mother was Sophia Spriggle. His paternal grandparents were Monroe Scott Thaxton and Sarah Jane Thomas; his maternal grandparents are John Spriggle and Eliza Humphrey. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Howard Hansen, Edgar Stanton, E.L., Delbert Clarence, George L., Herman, Otis Raymond, Earl Washington, Marjorie M., Mamie J., Lannie and Hazel G.. He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 60 on February 22nd, 1940 in Kanawha Co., WV.-
