James Richard was born about 1829 in Tennessee. James Richard's father was James C. Thaxton and his mother was (Mrs) ???. His paternal grandparents were James William Thaxton and Lucy Guill. He had a brother and three sisters, named Benjamin G., Harriett M., Martilla J. and Louisa E.. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died on December 19th, 1857 in Williamson Co.,Illinois.-
