Martha was born in 1649 in Of, Portsmouth, Newport, Ri. Martha's father was John TRIPP and her mother was Mary PAINE. Her paternal grandparents were John TRIPP and Isabell MOSES; her maternal grandparents were Anthony PAINE and Alice POTTER. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Peleg, Joseph, Abiel, James, Sylvanus, James, Daughter, Maryabeth, Elizabeth, Alice, Mary and Isabell. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named John, Othniel, Benjamin, Lott, Lott, Susannah Anthony, Mary and Lot.
