Francis THORNTON, SR 
Francis was born on November 5th, 1651 in Petsworth Par, Gloucester, Va. Francis' father was William THORNTON, JR and his mother was Elizabeth ROWLAND. His paternal grandparents were William THORNTON, SR and Barbara WESTBY. He had two brothers and a sister, named William Jr, Rowland and Esther. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 75 on February 15th, 1727 in Prob., King George, Virginia. He was buried in 1726.General Notes
