Van (Indian) SWEARINGEN 
Van (Indian) was born in 1742 in Swearingen Ferry, Jefferson, Wva. Van (Indian)'s father was Thomas Andrew Swearingen and his mother was Sarah MORGAN. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Swearingen and Jane Lydia Riley; his maternal grandparents are Richard MORGAN and Unknown (MORGAN). He had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Andrew, Zachariah, Joseph, Benoni, Drusilla, Sarah and Eleanor. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 51 on December 2nd, 1793 in Wellsburg, Brooke, West Virginia. He was buried in Charles Town, Jefferson, Wva.General Notes
