Silence was born on July 26th, 1668 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Silence's father was Henry STEVENS and her mother is Mary BUCKMASTER. Her paternal grandfather was (Unknown) STEVENS; her maternal grandparents were Thomas BUCKMINSTER and Joanna ROBINSON. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Thomas, Joshua, John, Henry, Samuel, Joanna and Mary. She was the second youngest of the nine children.
