Mark was born on May 9th, 1628 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Mark's father was Nicholas SNOW and his mother was Constance HOPKINS. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas SNOW and Elizabeth ROWELLES (ROWLES); his maternal grandparents were Stephen HOPKINS and Constance DUDLEY. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Stephen, John, Jabez, Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Ruth and Constance. He was the oldest of the eleven children.
