Marion was born in 1579 in Cartmel, Lancashire, England and her baptism took place on February 15th, 1579 in Cartmel, Lancs, England.  Marion's father was Bryan SLATER and her mother is Agnes Mrs SLATER. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William, James, George, Richard, Margaret and Elizabeth.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died in Meathop, Westmoreland, England.  She was buried on November 15th, 1621 in Beetham, Westmoreland, England.

‌Marion and James were married in a religious ceremony on April 23rd, 1602 in Cartmel, Lancashire, England.  They had seven sons and three daughters, named George, George, Bryan, Walter, Arthur, Hannibal, Bryan, Mary, Margaret and Agnes.
