Sarah Louisa was born on November 15th, 1858 in Butler, AL. Sarah Louisa's father was William James RUSSELL and her mother was Mary Elizabeth SPRADLEY. Her paternal grandparents were Simon RUSSELL and Nancy Love; her maternal grandparents were Warren C SPRADLEY and Elsey Alcey MALONE. She had four brothers and two sisters, named William James, Thomas J., Jasper Newton, George Washington, Martha Minerva and Mary Frances. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
