Thomas was born about 1647 and his baptism took place on February 16th, 1651 in Beverly, Essex, Ma. Thomas' father was John ROOTE and his mother was Mary Ann RUSSELL. His paternal grandfather was Thomas ROOTE and his paternal grandmother is Ann BURRELL; his maternal grandparents were Francis RUSSELL and Anne FORRESTER. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, John, Thomas, Josiah, Jonathan, Mary, Marie, Susannah, Thomas, Bethia and Susannah. He was the third youngest of the twelve children.General Notes
