John ROOT 
John was born in 1642 in Hartford Co., Farmington, Ct and his baptism took place on December 23rd, 1642 in Farmington, Ct. John's father was John ROOT and his mother was Mary KILBOURNE. His paternal grandparents were John ROOTE and Mary Ann RUSSELL; his maternal grandparents were Thomas KILBORNE and Frances MOODY. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Samuel, Stephen, Thomas, Caleb, Mary and Susannah. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
