Lucas PROVOST 
Lucas was born on January 26th, 1770 in Pompton,MORRIS,N.J.. Lucas' father is David PROVOST and his mother is Catharine VAN GELDER. His paternal grandparents were David Jonathan PROVOOST and Christina PRAA; his maternal grandparents are David VAN GELDER and Elizabeth Vander Beek. He had six brothers and four sisters, named David, Paulus Vander Beek, Peter Praa, Paulus Vander Beek, John D., Jonathan, Elizabeth, Catharine, Christina and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 77 on August 30th, 1847 in Near Nauvoo,,Ill..General Notes
