Sarah was born on May 12th, 1702 in St Peters Parish, New Kent, Va and her baptism took place in St Pauls Parish, Hanover Cty, Va. Sarah's father was Thomas POINDEXTER and her mother was Sarah CRAWFORD. Her paternal grandparents were George Poindexter and Susanna BENSKIN; her maternal grandfather was David CRAWFORD and her maternal grandmother is Jane CRAWFORD. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John P, Thomas, Julius Caesar, Susannah P, Elizabeth and Susanna. She is the third oldest of the seven children.General Notes
