He had four brothers and five sisters, named Bethel, Benjamin, Joshua, Edin, Catherine, Lydia, Sarah "Sally", Mary "Mittie" and Parthena "Polly". He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Nathan Wheeler, David, Harden, James and Martha Ann.-
