Sallie was born in 1749 in Loudon, Virginia. Sallie's father was Etheldred Phillips and her mother was Sarah Jane Exum. Her maternal grandparents are John Exum and Elizabeth Kinchen. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Eaton, Etheldred, Exum, Clemmon, Figers, Elizabeth, Martha, Charlotte and Nancy. She died at the age of 96 in 1845 in Warrensburg, Greene Co., Tennessee.General Notes
