Martha PHILLIPS 
Martha was born in 1830. Martha's father was Josiah PHILLIPS and her mother is Dorcas Keziah NETTLES. Her paternal grandparents were John PHILLIPS and Mary UNKNOWN. She had two sisters named Mary (Polly) and Elizabeth Betsy. She had eight half-brothers and two half-sisters, named John, William, Thomas, David, Benjamin, Wilson, Edward, Harden, Nancy and Athena. She died at the age of 71 on May 28th, 1901.-

‌Martha and John Jr were married in a religious ceremony on November 11th, 1847. They had a son and three daughters, named William Gardner, Susan, Elizabeth and Sarah Malinda.
