Silas NOWELL 
Silas was born in 1717 in York, York, Maine. Silas' father was Peter NOWELL and his mother was Sarah WEARE. His paternal grandparents are Roger NOWELL and Mary ROSENBACH; his maternal grandparents were Peter WEARE and Mary PUDDINGTON. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Peter, John, Peter, Ebenezer, Abraham, Paul, Sarah, Mary and Esther. He was the second youngest of the ten children.
