His paternal grandparents were Richard I the Fearless Duke Of NORMANDY and Gonnor de Crepon; his maternal grandparents were Conan I Duke Of BRETAGNE and Ermangarde Gisgonelle D' ANJOU. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named William, Manger of, Robert I "The Magnificent" Duke Of, Guillaume De, Eleanor, Alice, Alice (Adelaide) of, Adelais (Judith) De, Elbeonore De, Miss Princess Of, Stephanie of and Eleanor. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named William, Count of, William Poincius, Duke of, Mauger De, Mauger Of, Papia of and Fresende of.
