John was born on October 12th, 1786 in , Jefferson Co, Tn Or Nc. John's father was Joseph R. MOON and his mother was Ann BROWN. His paternal grandfather was John MOON and his paternal grandmother is Mary FARMER; his maternal grandfather was Daniel BROWN and his maternal grandmother is Grace THOMPSON. He had twelve brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Daniel, William K., Samuel, Joseph, Jesse, Thomas, Henry, Solomon, Thomas, James, Solomon, Mary, Jane, Grace and Grace. He was the seventh oldest of the seventeen children. He died at the age of 68 on August 14th, 1855 in , Clinton Co, Ohio.General Notes
