John Merdeis was born on June 25th, 1875 in , Nevada, AR. John Merdeis' father was Joseph Littlejohn MITCHELL and his mother was Lucinda Parisade Adkins. His paternal grandparents were Mordica MITCHELL and Martha Jane Walker. He had three brothers named M J, Benjamin Waller and Charlie. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 11 on October 29th, 1886.-
