Hemarried  Nancy Ella JENNINGS,  d/o Erastus Smith JENNINGS andHarriet  Amanda "Mandy" LASATER, in  Lebanon on January 31,1889. Nancy  Ella JENNINGS was born June 10, 1871  in Greenvaleand died  January 9, 1956 in Murfreesboro. They are both  buriedat  Greenvale Cemetery. Together they had the followingchildren:  1. Grover Cletus MIDGETT was born April 1, 1890inGreenvale and  died  June 13, 1967 in Greenvale. He marriedAnnie Azilee OWENin  Wilson Co.  on October 13, 1915. She wasborn July 22, 1895 and  died September 1978.  (I do not know whoher parents were.)  Cletus and Azilee are both buried  atGreenvale Cemetery. They  had one child.  a. Willie CarmineMIDGETT  wasborn March 11, 1918 in Greenvale.  She married J.L.STROUD in Wilson  Co. on December 24, 1936. I  think they hadtwo sons, Jimmie and Jerry.  2. Hugh ErastusMIDGETT was born inGreenvale on October 25,  1891 and  died in Lebanon on April20,1894.  3. James Willie MIDGETT was born  December 27, 1895 inMelissa,  Collin Co., Texas and died in Murfreesboro  at theV.A. Hospital  on December 4, 1974. He married Nonnie ARMSTRONG,d/o William  Presley "Press" ARMSTRONG and MaryFrancis "Babe"TRUITT, in  Lebanon on December 25, 1919. Nonnie was bornDecember11, 1902  in  Greenvale and died at Jackson ParkChristian Home in  Nashville,Davidson  Co., Tennessee. on March19, 1991. Willie and Nonnie are both buried at  GreenvaleCemetery. Together they had two children:  a. Hugh PrestonMIDGETT was born October 13, 1920 in Greenvale  and is stillliving in  Goodlettsville, Sumner Co., Tennessee. He  marriedLossie Myrl STAPLES in  Marianna, Jackson Co.,Florida on  March25, 1943 the same day he  received his wings as a pilot in  theU.S. Air Force. Together they had  three children: Kay LynnMIDGETT, Carl Houston MIDGETT and Joe Preston  MIDGETT.  b. EllaLavelle "Lu" MIDGETT was born September 16, 1926 in Old  Hickoryand is still living in Knoxville, Tennessee. Shemarried RobertGlen ELY in Knoxville on April 18, 1946. They had threechildren:William David ELY, Barbara Lu ELY and Jerry GlenELY.  1969 - 1898 July 1  -(O.B.) M.H. GRIMMETT, J.S. & A.L.JENNINGS  composing the firm of J.S.  JENNINGS& Bro., J.S.JENNINGS  individually, H.A. & W.P. PHILLIPS  composing the firmofH.A.  PHILLIPS & Bro. citizens of Wilson Co.,  Tennessee andH.W. LESTER admr.of W.M. PEMBERTON a citizen of  RutherfordCo., Tennessee Against Arch  MIDGETTand wife Ella MIDGETT, ofRutherford, Lafayette JENNINGS  and John JENNINGS citizens ofTX. Orators  filed their bill and  petition 18 May 1898 inCounty Courtof Wilson Co.,  Tennessee seeking  to wind up theestate of Jacob R. JENNINGS, who died  in this  county about1880 and sale of a tract of land.... E.S. JENNINGS  was admr. ofhis father's estate.... the heirs are set out in  full in  theCounty Court bill. E.S. is now dead and the defdts.  EllaMIDGETT,  Lafayette andJno. JENNINGS are his only children  andheirs at law. The  last two minors, nogdn. L.B. GRANDSTAFF  isson-in-law of J.R. JENNINGS.
