Mary was born in 1617 in Braintree, Essex, England. Mary's father was John MARSH and her mother was Grace BALDWIN. Her paternal grandparents are John MARSH and Mrs John MARSH; her maternal grandparents are William BALDWIN and Sarah MRS. BALDWIN. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, John, Samuel, Joseph, Sarah, Grace and Lydia. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
