Elizabeth was born in 1417 in Upsal, Masham, Yorkshire England. Elizabeth's father was John SCROOPE and her mother was Elizabeth CHAWORTH. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Le SCROPE and Margery De WELLES; her maternal grandparents were Thomas CHAWORTH and Nicola BRAYBROOK.
