Thomas was born in 1541 in Swynshed, Lincoln, Eng. Thomas' father was John Irby and his mother was Rose OVERTON. His paternal grandparents were Anthony IRBY and Alice BOUNTAYNE (BOUNTING); his maternal grandparents were Cutler OVERTON and Olive Mrs OVERTON. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Edmund, Giles, Edward, Kellam, Edward, Olive, Phoebe and Kellam. He is the second oldest of the nine children.General Notes
