Benjamin Hurt 
Benjamin was born on March 19th, 1800 in Virginia.1 Benjamin's father was Josiah Hurt and his mother was Elizabeth Young. His maternal grandfather was Henry Young and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Henry, William, John H., Forrester, Spencer Thomas, Josiah, Elizabeth, Judith and Sarah Jane. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 58 on February 15th, 1859 in Davidson Co., TN.-
