Walter was born about 1442 in Of, Farleigh, Berkshire, England. Walter's father was Robert II HUNGERFORD and his mother was Eleanor De MOLEYNS. His paternal grandparents were Robert HUNGERFORD and Margaret BOTREAUX. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Leonard, Alice (Eleanor), Friswold and Frideswide.
