William was born in 1728 in Newwitt, , Germany.  William's father was Johannes HOUSHELL and his mother is Nelly UNKNOWN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Willaim, Peter, Elizabeth Or Susanna and Susannah.  He is the third youngest of the six children.
