John HORTON

John was born on March 21st, 1696 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts and his baptism took place on September 17th, 1727 in Congretional, Church, Rehoboth, Ma. John's father was John HORTON and his mother was Mehitabel GARNSEY. His paternal grandparents were Thomas HORTON and Sarah HARMON; his maternal grandparents were John GUERNSEY GARNSEY and Elizabeth TITUS. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, David, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Hezekiah, Sarah and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 99 on January 10th, 1796 in Glocester, , Ri.
