On 11 May 1738, Charles Gannon signed with the inhabitants of a Part of Talbot County. To Gov. and upper and Lower Houses of Assembly. Petition for the erection of a new parish; they can support a church and they will not reduce the revenuesof any other parish by lessening the membership; the new parish will begin at Anthony Richardson's wharf and following the main road to the county courthouse, along the main road from Oxford to Wye Mill, thence to the road between Talbot and Queen Anne's Counties, on to Tuckahoe Bridge and along Tuckahoe Creek and Choptank River to the beginning. 11 May 1738.
