Sarah was born about 1787 in , Of Jefferson, Kentucky. Sarah's father was William GOBEN and her mother is Rebacca BROUDY. She had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Joseph, James, John, Katy, Peggy, Peggy, Elizabeth and Rebecca. She was the second oldest of the ten children.
