Emeline was born on February 11th, 1842 in Sissonville,Kanawha,W. Virginia. Emeline's father was Franklin Fisher and her mother was Nancy Koontz. Her paternal grandparents were John Fisher and Lucretia Harrison. She had five brothers named Emberson, Marion, Columbus, Evans and Scott. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Alphis, Alfred "Russ", Aquilla, Aren, Alie, Allie and Ardena.-
