William was born about 1200 in Of, , Derbyshire, England.  William's father was William De FERRERS and his mother was Agnes De MESCHINES.  His paternal grandparents were Walkelin (William) De FERRIERES and Sybil De BRAOSE; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Kevelioc de Meschines and Bertrade De MONTFORT (EVREUX). He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Hugh, Robert, Hugh, Sybil and Berta (Ferrars).  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died on March 24th, 1254 in , Evington, Leicestershire, England.  He was buried on March 31st, 1254 in Merevale Abbey, Merevale, Warwickshire, England.


William's first family with Sibyl MARSHALL

‌William and Sibyl were married in a religious ceremony before May 14th, 1219 in Of, Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales.  They had a son and seven daughters, named John De, Agnes De, Isabella De, Maud (Matilda) De, Sibyl De, Joan De, Agatha De and Eleanor De.


William's second family with Margaret De QUINCY

‌William and Margaret De were married in a religious ceremony in 1238.  They had two sons and three daughters, named Robert, William De, Agnes De, Elizabeth and Joan De.
