His paternal grandparents were Charles EPPERSON and Sarah Love LAMB; his maternal grandparents were Naham ISHAM Dalton and Elizabeth Thomson WALTON. He had six brothers and nine sisters, named Charles Lee, Richard Cox, Daniel Hahn, Jonathan, Alexander Coutts, Henery, Sarah Ellen, Sarah Ellen, Mary Ann, Telitha Jane, Elizabeth B.(Betsy), Martha Jane, Permelia, Permelia and Susan Malone. He was the seventh oldest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 80 on June 1st, 1913 in Midway, Wasatch, UT. He was buried on June 5th, 1913 in Midway, Wasatch, UT.General Notes

Major Sidney Hiram Epperson, was commissioned 4 Aug 1862. He came to Utah
in 1852 with the David Wood Company from Iowa to Provo, Utah, where
he married Mary Jane Robey. Afterwords the family moved to Provo Valley
in 1859 [Wasatch County]. Mr Epperson became the first Presiding Elder
in Midway, Wasatch County. As a pioneer and leader, he laid out homes,
irrigation ditches (The Epperson ditch is still used), an Indian Fort and
Compound and a Grist Mill, with others as needed. He was also an Indian War
Veteran, a farmer and stock raiser.
