John Alvin Dilling 
John Alvin was born on April 24th, 1891 in Martinsburg, Blair Co., PA. John Alvin's father was John Martin Hoover Dilling and his mother was Margaret Malinda Burget. His paternal grandparents were John Hoover Dilling and Susannah Long Hoover. He had a brother and five sisters, named George Cleveland, Nancy Bertha, Ida May, Mary Elizabeth, Susie Vera and Fannie M.. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 75 on February 28th, 1967. He was buried in Brumbaugh Cem., No. Woodbury Twp., Blair Co., PA.-
