Rachel was born on June 15th, 1767 in Nashville, , Tennessee. Rachel's father was John DONELSON and her mother was Rachel STOCKLEY. Her paternal grandparents were John DONELSON and Catherine DAVIS; her maternal grandparents were Alexander STOCKLEY and Ann STOCKLEY. She had seven brothers and six sisters, named Alexander, Stockly, John, William, Samuel, Severn, Leven, Catherine, Mary, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown and Jane. She was the youngest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 61 on December 22nd, 1828 in Hermitage, , Tennessee. She was buried in December 1828 in , Davidson, Tennessee, Hermitage Garden.General Notes
