John Chitwood 
John was born in 1754 in Virginia. John's father was John CHETWOOD and his mother is Elizabeth TILLOTSON. His paternal grandfather was Matthias CHITWOOD (MATTHIS) and his paternal grandmother is Mary KEY. He had four brothers and a sister, named Joel, William, Ellis, Claiborn and Ann. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 on October 30th, 1831 in Franklin Co.,Virginia.General Notes
