Alice was born in 1858 in TN. Alice's father was Charles B. Bloomingdale and her mother was Nancy P. Chitwood. Her paternal grandparents are James Bloomingdale and Catherine UNKNOWN; her maternal grandmother was Elenor Chitwood. She had a brother and two sisters, named Everett, Eunice and Lena.
