Adam was born in 1729 in , Spotsylvania, Virginia. Adam's father was Hans Jacob A BROYLES and his mother was Mary Catharine FLEISHMAN. His paternal grandparents were Johannes BREUEL and Ursula RUOP; his maternal grandparents were Zacherias Cyriacus FLEISHMAN and Anna Barbara SCHONE. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Cyrus Ziriakus, Jacob, Peter, Michael, Nicholas, John, Zacharias, Matthias, Catherine, Maria Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 53 in April 1782 in , Washington, Tennessee. He was buried in Broyles Family Cemetery, Broylesville, At Mouth.General Notes
